Meet Claude Duet: Anthropic's New Personal Agent
Anthropic has launched Claude Duet, an AI assistant on your phone that does work for you, not just answers questions. You ask it to check your inbox, put together a presentation or research something, and it gets on with it while you do other things.
Duet runs on iPhone and Android and connects to your Claude account. It's designed for small business owners and busy professionals who want to get things done away from their desk.
What it can do
- Works with the apps you already use: if you've connected Claude to Gmail, Google Drive, Slack or your customer database, Duet can use them too, with no extra setup.
- Keeps a to-do list: you can see what you're working on and what Duet is doing for you, so nothing gets lost.
- Makes real documents: ask for a slide deck, a document or a web page, and Duet creates it right in the chat. It can also open things you've made in Claude before.
- Sorts work into channels: like group chats in a messaging app, you can create a separate space for each topic, such as one for sales.
- Checks in with you: Duet can send you a morning briefing and keep working on tasks after you've put your phone away.
