What Even IS an "AI Agent"?
A chatbot talks. An agent does.
An AI agent is a model that's been given tools (a web browser, a code editor, your calendar) and permission to use them in a loop: look at the goal, take a step, check the result, take the next step.
Why it's a big deal
- It can finish multi-step jobs (research, booking, coding) instead of just giving advice.
- It can recover from mistakes by checking its own work.
The catch
More power means more responsibility. Good agents ask before doing anything risky, like spending money or deleting files.
