• Token: a chunk of text (roughly ¾ of a word). Models read and write in tokens.
• Context window: how much text the model can keep in mind at once.
• Hallucination: when an AI confidently makes something up.
• Multimodal: can handle more than text, such as images, audio and video.
• Fine-tuning: extra training to specialise a model for a task.
• Open-weights: a model you can download and run yourself.
